i Love Shelling Sponsor

Friday, January 14th, 2011

A few days ago, I told you about my feature in the iLoveShelling blog on December 2.

I was also featured on December 31 in Pam’s round-up of the year’s top 10 best posts. I’m featured in #8.

And now, I’m thrilled to tell you that I’m featured on the blog everyday as a sponsor!

I first “met” Pam from i Love Shelling through Twitter, and we were in touch a bit before my visit last month to Sanibel and Captiva Islands, when I had the pleasure to meet her in person. Check out our shelling expedition!

You MUST visit iLoveShelling.com, where Pam will take you on a daily virtual tour of the beach!

In her words, “I’m a sheller and artist. I only write this blog because I love to talk about shelling and how happy it makes me to share these magical treasures.”

See you at the beach!

Wish you were here!
Warmly, Maria

Shelling on Sanibel Island!

Monday, January 10th, 2011

As promised yesterday, I’ve saved the best part of my Sanibel Island vacation, SHELLING!, for today’s post.

The shelling is ALWAYS good at Sanibel Island.

It’s rated the Number 1 shelling spot in the U.S.

But sometimes, even higher. Much, MUCH higher.

Check out Shell Mountain.

Please note the person on the right, and see that this shell mound is as tall as he is!

Unbelievable!

I was lucky enough to experience this on December 2.

And I was featured in the iLoveShelling blog! :)

I’m famous!

Here’s more Shell Mountain.

I was so excited about having my “Lime and the Coconut” sea glass pendant included in the SLOW SUMMER DAYS treasury that made it to the Front Page, that I missed the Front Page for a treasury that I curated myself!
