Treasure Hunting on Calvert County, Maryland Beaches!

Calvert Cliffs Post CardCalvert Cliffs, Maryland is a well-known location for collecting over 600 species of fossils (sharks’ teeth being the most popular).

But be sure to also check out lesser-known Brownie’s Beach (BayFront Park) near Chesapeake Beach, Maryland. Access is free between Labor Day and Memorial Day.

Expect to find sharks’ teeth … and sea glass …

And … be on the lookout for an unusually mysterious phenomenon — tiny glass beads wash ashore here all the time!
