Escape to the Bahamas for Extremely Rare Turquoise Sea Glass

Extremely Rare Turquoise Sea Glass from the Bahamas
I think it’s time for me to plan a great escape to the Bahamas to search for some of this stunning turquoise sea glass.
Have you ever seen a more beautiful color?
One of my cousins brought this sea glass back for me from her visit to the Atlantis on Paradise Island in the Bahamas.
Each sea glass gem is truly a piece of paradise, just the color of the water found at the resort, wouldn’t you say?

Atlantis Resort, Paradise Island, Bahamas
According to Richard LaMotte, author of “Pure Sea Glass: Discovering Nature’s Vanishing Gems”, turquoise sea glass is considered to be extremely rare.
This intense blue color with a small degree of green was sometimes used in tableware, antique flasks, and art glass … The rich turqoise color is quite a treasure, and the odds of finding a piece could be as infrequent as one in every 2,500 to 5,000 pieces collected.
I wonder what would have caused so many pieces to be discovered at the Atlantis?
I wire-wrapped one of the gems to give as a gift to my cousin’s sister (who is also my cousin, for those of you keeping track).
And I used gold wire instead of the silver that I usually use because she wears gold jewelry.
What do you think?
