The Heart of the Matter
All of the sea glass (beach glass) featured in Endless Sunner jewelry is genuine. Each piece has been naturally tumbled and shaped by the tides, currents, winds and sands. As a result, no two pieces are ever exactly alike. However, there is one most common shape — that of a triangle.
That’s why heart-shaped sea glass is such a special find!
Adding to the romance of a heart-shaped sea glass gem, is the romance behind the glass itself. Much of my sea glass comes from a friend’s private beach on Maryland’s Kent Island on the Chesapeake. The glass holds such secrets to its history! What were its origins? Did it originate from the tourists on holiday from Baltimore over 100 years ago who crossed the Chesapeake by ferry to Kent Island’s Love Point to visit a popular summer resort (way before the Chesapeake Bay Bridge was built)?

Love Point was the terminus of a ferry line from Baltimore. In 1910 the cost was two dollars for the car and driver; additional passengers were fifty cents each. This view of the steamer Westmoreland was taken in 1909.

A popular summer resort, Love Point featured a modern hotel, several boarding houses, and bathing facilities. The hotel was a particular favorite with vacationers from Baltimore.

All of this is part of the appeal, the romance, the mystery and the intrigue associated with collecting and wearing nature’s gems – authentic sea glass!
